The location was absolutely the best. The only issue was the stairs, but that’s my fault because I should have read the reviews. The place was amazing with fantastic views! I wish we had more time to stay. The stairs were a problem, and the dryer took forever to dry, so I hoped to do more laundry. I ended up air‑drying and that worked fine.

The location and common area were great.

The station was close. Komachi‑dori, restaurants, supermarkets, and tourist spots were all easy to reach. The stairs to the room were steep, and there was no elevator. Carrying a suitcase was difficult. There were no futons for everyone, so I tried to request them via the Instagram link in the room booklet, but I couldn’t find the account.

We loved our stay! The location is a 10/10—right across from the train station and Komachi Dori Street, surrounded by many convenience stores within walking distance. Check‑in was super easy with the door code, and the only real challenge was lugging our luggage up three flights of stairs, which was tough. Once settled, day‑to‑day comings and goings were fine. For Australian standards, the bedding is small: essentially four single beds, which wasn’t enough for the six of us, but we made it work. We’d highly recommend both this property and Kamakura itself. Beautiful temples and shrines, hardly any crowds, and we even saw Mount Fuji. Such a special place to visit! 😊 The only downside was the extra blanket and pillow for the couch if needed.

The room felt nice, I checked out at 11:00, and the staff only responded via messages, but checking in was easy. Because there’s no elevator, hauling a big suitcase or stroller up to the fourth floor was a real struggle. The curtains didn’t block enough light, so city glow seeped in and made it hard to fall asleep in the dark; the street’s motorbike noise added to the delay, leaving me feeling unrested. The toilet seat was misaligned, which bothered me, and the trash bin should have been in the room. The stairs are steep, so families with small kids would find it tough. The room’s aesthetic is very clean, so the old bathroom and toilet stood out. Parking would be great if it were close; otherwise, it’s a pain.
