“Poor check in procedure, very poor”

The location, coffee machine, and view are positives. The check‑in service was poor; I had to wait hours for someone to attend the reception to check me in. Then I wasn’t shown to the property or told how to get access, and I couldn’t leave my luggage with the hotel. Communication was very disappointing. I had to take a key from a key safe on the wall with no instructions on how to gain access to the room via the electronic door lock. I wasted two hours of my day and had to return and check in with the host. Better communication is required.

“There are properties around Miami that require far less effort. Go there!”

The location and rooftop pool are positives, although construction was going on around the pool while we were there. The view is nice. We arrived at 11 pm and the staff insisted we pay a USD 25 in cash for late arrival. I didn’t have cash, so Omar told me I could not be accepted. I offered to pay via bookings.com and he said NO. I stayed until midnight with my 8‑year‑old before I screamed at him and he finally got his manager to send me a PayPal link. Also, in our breakdown of costs on bookings.com, the $35 per day plus taxes is shown as paid but I was forced to pay again at the front desk. We were then given a key card to our room, which had a room A and room B. I had not been told which one nor the passcode required to access the electronic keypad. The passcodes we finally got were wrong, and after another 20 minutes we were given a code to a key box for emergency use. The company contacted me the next morning and provided a different passcode that still did not work. They wanted copies of my IDs AND credit card details before we arrived, which worried me. The effort in the arrival process was severe and I would never recommend this to anyone.
