Pousada Estância Macaúbas -

We loved the days we spent at the Macaúbas resort; they were very special and we will carry them in our hearts. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back every year to experience a little more of it. The days were very peaceful amid nature and the animals that live there. The place has a private beach along the banks of the Rio São Francisco and a very gentle horse, Foguete, who took us for a short ride while the dogs followed us. Our little dog also enjoyed it, learned to get along with the other animals and became a great friend of Rosinha. A special thanks to Eduardo, who welcomed us and treated us so well, gave us great tips and was very welcoming and kind. He’s a really good guy! We hope to return soon. “Muito tranquila e gostosa.recepcao muito calorosa”

The café is good but could use a little improvement, the place itself is very pretty, and there’s a wonderful river close to the lodge. I have nothing to complain about, just a simple rural lodge.

The location is beautiful and Mr Eduardo at reception is always helpful. Unfortunately the accommodation needs improvement, the cleanliness was lacking, and the site didn’t mention that the pool was under maintenance.

The location is good. The chalets matched the description, with comfortable beds. Our chalet had a kitchen that worked properly, and any missing items were quickly addressed. Mr Eduardo was very helpful and a lovely person! Overall the stay was pleasant, but we felt some areas could be better. We believe that greater attention to cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of common and outdoor spaces would noticeably improve the quality of the stay. We leave this constructive feedback hoping these points will be reviewed and improved for future guests.

The spot’s right by the beach and there are shops nearby, so you’re never far from anything you need.
