“Ambleside delight”

The location is a 5‑minute walk to the centre and 15 minutes to the water’s edge. Rooms were clean and well stocked, and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Free cakes and wine were available. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice and excellent ingredients. Janet, the owner, was very welcoming, lovely, and friendly. The car park was a bit of a fiddle to find, but once you locate it, it’s easy.

Janet and Stuart were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was fantastic, the room was very clean and well equipped, and the location was good for the town. The homemade cakes and the hosts’ local knowledge were unexpected and greatly appreciated.

I felt very welcome from the start. I stayed in the suite, which was lovely and comfortable; everything was extremely clean. Small touches like bottled water, cookies, toiletries, and dressing gowns added a touch of luxury.

“What a fantastic stay!”

Everything was perfect: the location was great and there was plenty of parking at the back. The rooms were beautifully presented with everything you could need. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and did everything they could for us. The complimentary cakes were amazing! Thanks so much, we’ll be back. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
