Nestled beside the River Glazert in mature gardens, Glazert Country House Hotel offers spacious, traditionally furnished rooms with 60‑inch smart TVs, tea/coffee facilities, and en‑suite bathrooms. Free Wi‑Fi, private parking, and a lounge bar with snacks complement an à‑la‑carte restaurant. Nearby, Campsie Golf Course is a 5‑minute drive, while Buchanan Castle lies 30 minutes away.

The restaurant was fantastic, the setting cozy, staff welcoming, walks lovely, the place felt homely with original touches, but the rooms weren’t as soundproof as a purpose‑built hotel.

The team was very warm and attentive, making sure we felt cared for; the bar area was pleasant, the food tasty, and the room comfortable, giving good value for a B & B—would come back gladly. I can’t think of any real drawbacks; if I had to nitpick, the water pressure was great, more than enough.

The surroundings were quiet and pleasant, though the hotel itself felt a little worn.

We appreciated staying in a separate annex with our dogs and parking nearby; the staff were friendly, breakfast delicious, the bed cozy, and the spa bath a nice bonus. The only downside was that the room felt a bit “tired” in spots like the vertical blinds, but it was otherwise clean and comfortable, offering excellent value compared to other places on our northern Scotland tour.
