Although Tulip Suites has no on‑site restaurant, it sits next to another hotel with a fantastic restaurant and view; Happena Restaurant requires reservations and we ended up planning most of our activities around dinner time. The staff at Tulip Suites were friendly and generally helpful. Breakfast runs from 8 am to 10 am and the chef enforces a strict schedule; eggs, when offered, are barely warm, and the spread is regional—fresh fruit, cheeses, some deli meats, cold cereal and dried fruits. Room #10 has a sewage problem and many stairs, with the bathroom at the bottom entry; sewage smells seep up through the bathroom sink and the slipper tub upstairs, and the shower sometimes refuses to drain. A spacious patio is only reachable by climbing through a small, floor‑level portal.

The breakfast was the best I had in all my two‑week stay, and the staff were kind and helpful; Osman tried to contact me via WhatsApp, phone, and the booking platform to warn me about my forgotten luggage, and the stairs to the hotel were steep but the staff assisted with our bulky luggage.
