“A lovely tiny house on the edge of Monga National Park”

The tiny house sits right on the edge of Monga National Park, surrounded by beautiful forest, and it was spotless and well‑equipped for our three‑day stay. We spent most of our time hiking the park’s trails and also made quick trips to Bombay waterhole and Braidwood. All in all, a comfortable little base for a nature‑filled weekend.

We never actually got to stay there – a message arrived on Jan 15 warning us that we’d have to cross a shallow, stone‑lined creek, something the listing never mentioned. With a Bureau of Meteorology rain and wind warning for the 16th‑17th, we felt it was unsafe to drive in the dark and had to scramble for another place that could be reached on a sealed road, yet the owners offered no refund.

“This cabin was so stunning and I felt very safe as a solo female traveller - highly recommend!”

This cabin blew me away – stunning views, spotless interior and a host who made me feel safe as a solo female traveler. Getting there in a 2WD was easy enough, just take it slow on the dirt road as the host advises, and the whole stay felt like a relaxing getaway. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.
