I was disappointed by the menu: only perch for tasting and perch as the main dish, both served with fries. It would have been nice to have more options.

The reception was friendly, the dining room offered a good selection from the menu, and they had a place to leave our bikes for the night. The location is quiet. However, the room was a bit small and, worse, had no private bathroom. I woke up in the middle of the night and found myself in the hallway with someone else who also needed to use the bathroom; we politely asked who had left first, and it felt absurd. I remember the rooms were 140 Swiss francs for rooms without a bathroom!

The location is great. The rooms and breakfast had everything you need. The welcome and service were very warm. The restaurant is huge, with indoor and outdoor areas, all overlooking the sea and the mountains. It’s good for young travelers looking for a good value. All rooms are on the second floor with stairs and no lift, which is difficult for older people and impossible for those with mobility issues—this should be mentioned in the listing. There is no air conditioning, only a portable fan. Some rooms have a sea view. I only saw on the confirmation that there was a “shared toilet,” which wouldn’t work for us. When I asked by email, the hotel told me our room actually had its own toilet in the bathroom, so we didn’t cancel and were satisfied with the price for a B&B for two.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The rooms were noisy.

The location is first‑rate and the lakeside breakfast terrace is beautiful, but the rooms leave much to be desired: the toilet is on the hallway, there’s no air‑conditioning—only a very noisy fan—and a broken window pane was patched up with tape.
