The place was spotless and hushed, and it sits close enough to the main sights that you don't have to wander too far.

The series of bad experiences we had justify, in our view, a 0/10 rating. First disappointment: from the outside and in the lobby, the hotel really doesn't inspire. We were far from the image we had of a 3‑star establishment. The first bad impression. To give a bit of context, I had been hospitalized in an emergency the night before our arrival. We chose this hotel only a few hours before we got there, mainly because Booking said the front desk was open 24/7 and that staff spoke English. That mattered to us: if something went wrong overnight, we wanted to be able to ask for help or have a doctor called. At about 19:00 we arrived, but no one was at the desk. We called, we waited: no bell, no obvious way to signal our presence. My partner eventually went out to look for someone. The receptionist was outside. He looked at him without even moving, as if to ask what he wanted. We were, after all, two tourists arriving with large bags at the hotel where he worked as a receptionist. Second bad impression. He eventually came to the desk calmly. No greeting, no welcome, no words: he simply asked for our passports. Third bad impression. We then discovered he absolutely does not speak English, contrary to what was indicated at booking. All communication was done with his phone and a Russian‑English translator. Fourth bad impression. The check‑in seemed to have problems and took time. He called someone. In the meantime we stood in front of him with our large bags, with no explanation and no offer to sit. I was visibly tired and coming out of a hospital. Fifth bad impression. Then came the main problem: the SPA.

My flight landed very late in the city and the staff stayed up to let me check in. I wish the breakfast had been ready on time.

Good value. Breakfast was mediocre, and the spa use prices were ridiculously expensive.
