I'm still pinching myself after an unforgettable stay at Ahmed Camp in Wadi Rum. The camp itself was a marvel of cleanliness, with every detail meticulously thought out in both the spacious tents and the communal facilities. I was really looking forward to our desert getaway, and at first, it seemed like it was going to live up to my expectations. The desert area itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and the accommodation looked lovely at night with all the lights on. The food was fine, nothing special but plentiful, which was a relief after a long day of exploring. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse when we met the staff, who seemed more interested in selling us tours than actually helping us.

I was looking forward to getting to my accommodation, but things took a turn for the worse when I was picked up an hour late. The 4x4 ride was short-lived, as we stopped just 10 minutes down the road and the driver demanded I book a tour or I wouldn't be allowed back to my accommodation. I politely declined and asked to be taken back to the Wadi Rum information centre, which was a relief after the initial hassle.

This place is truly magical, set deep in the desert with no distractions from the outside world. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, making you feel right at home. The night sky is breathtaking, with stars shining brightly above. The only downside is that it's a bit of a trek to get here, but it's well worth the effort.
