We arrived at the hotel at 4 pm as scheduled, only to find it locked and learn from a neighbor that it had recently closed. No prior notice was given, which was a total let‑down. We had to scramble to find another hotel that would accept us and our dog that very evening.

The bed linen was clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the room looked untouched, the bathroom had soap stains on the sink and shower, and there was an old melted soap in the toothbrush holder. We chose this hotel because it was close to the people we were visiting; we planned to meet there for dinner, but upon arrival we learned the restaurant only opens Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday lunch, forcing us to find another place to eat.

I learned from locals that The Bugle had closed the previous weekend, yet I was never told. I had to find last‑minute accommodation at twice the price I’d paid to stay at The Bugle, which I’d enjoyed in 2024 and 2025. While I’m disappointed by the lack of communication about the closure, I wish the former landlords all the best for the future.
