The lodge is 5 minutes from Sekumpul waterfalls, surrounded by jungle green, with a pool and a bion restaurant. The staff are friendly and the place is relaxing and quiet. The owner arranged a waterfall tour for us, taking us directly with his scooters and acting as our guide and personal photographer. The team is young, many on summer internships from a hospitality school. Initially the room was only superficially clean and one pillowcase was dirty, but after pointing it out the owner apologized profusely, called the staff, and within 5 minutes everything was polished and new pillowcases were provided (probably just an oversight).

A very beautiful hotel with fairly modern, well‑equipped, and lovely rooms. The staff are thorough and the manager is very attentive to ensure everything runs smoothly. The location is quite remote and hard to reach, but it’s very scenic, just steps from Sekumpul Falls, Fiji, and especially Hidden Waterfall, which are worth the trip if you’re heading north of Bali (plan a full morning for the hike). The hotel has everything covered—breakfast, dinner, massages, etc. Perfect, go for it with your eyes closed! The road is tricky in this remote part of Bali, but they are certainly the most beautiful waterfalls on the island.

Everything was fantastic: the bamboo villas had an insane charm, especially the bamboo shower. The staff were super kind and attentive, making us feel more like a home‑stay than a hotel. It felt like a perfect spot, tucked in the mountains yet only 5 minutes from the Sekumpul waterfalls. We were with our 8‑ and 10‑year‑old kids who loved it. We even got to enjoy a concert at breakfast. Highly recommend—awesome!

“Geweldig!!”

Don’t expect luxury here; it’s a basic stay and that works perfectly, especially since the property arranged a driver named Jimmy who whisked us away from bustling Ubud to the quiet north where the lodge sits “in the jungle” near waterfalls and a gorgeous rice field. With only a handful of cabins and a tiny restaurant, the staff were genuinely friendly, relying heavily on interns who added a fun vibe, proudly sharing local music and dance. We scooted to Sekumpul waterfalls, ate at the family‑run Hanging Restaurant & Bar, trekked to a nearby rice field the next day and dined at Warung Fiji. Terrace Rice View, then returned to Warung Juwet for dinner—both also family‑owned, which shows how tightly knit the area is. The two young ladies handling check‑in, the bar and the restaurant were simply fantastic and truly the face of the place. On the downside, we worried about things they barely cared about; the mosquito net had a huge 30 cm hole and reporting it got only a laugh, as mosquitoes are rare. The restaurant was very basic, the menu tiny and full of items marked “temporarily unavailable,” which is odd for Indonesia where food is usually abundant, so we ended up eating at nearby warungs instead.
