“The room we had was terrible and we were glad we had only booked for one night.”
The hotel sits in a convenient spot and offers parking on the premises. However, the so‑called ‘attic’ room was too cramped for a double and should be marketed as a single; it was so small that there was no space for a chair, which had to be placed on the landing outside the room, and it lacked a wardrobe or any decent clothes‑hanging solution. The rate for such a room was outrageous, far higher than cheaper and better hotels we stayed in around Dorset, and even half the price of a 10‑rated hotel in Dorchester. The breakfasts were also noticeably better elsewhere.
