The staff and facilities are good, but the buffet selection needs improvement.
“A Great Experience overall”
The pool was a highlight, and I couldn’t find anything to complain about.
The hotel’s look and feel were lovely, rooms were decent size with valley views, staff were welcoming and friendly, and it was a good spot for kids and teens. The heated pool in the mountains and same‑day laundry were nice touches. However, the rooms are far from the main lobby, spa prices are extraordinarily high, and there were spots on the room flooring that need fixing.
The place was spot‑on – great location, tasty food, warm staff, cozy vibe, and everything else was flawless, making it a perfect value.
“Birthday at Serena (Disappointed)”
We appreciated the overall vibe, the services, and the food, and the staff were courteous, professional, and helpful. But the management failed to handle a customer complaint: I had specifically asked for a cake arrangement for my spouse’s birthday, which was why we chose Serena over other options. They mistakenly swapped our cake with someone else’s. At the surprise party, about 20 km away in Nagar, the cake read “Happy Birthday Mustafa Hussain” – a nightmare. The evening was ruined, and when I brought it up, the only remedy offered was a cake waiver, which was unacceptable. I declined and paid in full. If you’re planning to stay at Serena, just hope you don’t run into a dispute with them… they’re just clueless about proper customer service and fair compensation.
