“Il relax che cercavo, incantevole!”
The location, the staff, the tranquility, the steak, the breakfast, the kids’ pool and the adults’ pool were all great, yet the kitchen pans were not non‑stick and the smoking ban at the pool was not enforced.

Borgo Di Collelungo truly delivered a clean Tuscan idyll for the price, set beautifully among the rolling hills around Monteione with staff who were extremely welcoming; one morning we even found a bag of home‑grown buffalo tomatoes on our front door, which was almost picture‑perfect. Our apartment was spacious for two, equipped with a dishwasher and a lovely gas stove, arrived spotless and already stocked with local wines in the fridge, and the pool area featured a large new pool plus a smaller children’s pool. The only downsides were a rather weak Wi‑Fi signal from our flat and, on one day, the pool area was so crowded that finding a sun lounger was impossible, but those were minor issues. It’s also worth noting that a car is essential since the nearest supermarket or town is about a 15‑minute drive away.

The quiet, the pool, the staff and the organized barbecue were all great, but extra mobile air‑co units for the bedroom would have been nice; there weren’t enough available for each accommodation.
The facilities, the garden, the pool and the overall beauty of the place were wonderful – a very “Tuscan” spot to relax and explore the area – but our room had a defective window, two storms flooded the room twice, even soaking my suitcase, and the owners’ response to the incident was very poor, as if they had taken it for granted and didn’t care.

We loved the location, the swimming pool, the cleanliness of the facilities, the nice little terrace by our cottage, and the very friendly owners, and we would definitely book again; the only hiccups were spotty Wi‑Fi in the cottage and the lack of air‑conditioning which made the nights a bit uncomfortable, though those details didn’t bother us at all given everything else we enjoyed.
