Parador de Santo Domingo de la Calzada, a 12th-century former hospital, boasts magnificent lounges and Gothic archways. Luxurious rooms feature TVs, minibars, and private bathrooms. The hotel's restaurant serves traditional La Rioja cuisine, including cod and stuffed peppers, alongside local wines. A bar and original wooden details add to its historic charm in Santo Domingo de la Calzada.

Parking was safe and the staff were professional, but they seemed uninterested in fulfilling dinner requests—your group’s needs were overridden. If you’re not in a group, you don’t matter.

The place was fantastic—I wish I could have stayed longer! The bar lady was cheerful and incredibly helpful, and everything about the hotel was great. Nothing to complain about.

Me encanta alojar en Paradores, encuentro que es una experiencia redonda, siempre sorprenden la ubicación, el edificio donde está emplazado, la atención, para mí son perfectos, mejor que un hotel.

Room fabulous - it was the food that let it down- bar food expensive - soup without accompanying bread? For €14? Raw hamburger. Served with cold chips? Tiny pizza? Though tasty. Parador can do better than that. Wipe table between customers? Should be standard practice. The waiter in the bar was the saving grace of the meal who took care above and beyond to make sure we were ok but he can only do so much with what he is working with . Bar food needs vast improvement
