The setting is truly magical – deep in the forest, with a rare sense of calm. It's not always easy to get here, but trust me, it's worth the effort.

The en-suite tents were a highlight, with plenty of space to spread out and breathtaking views of the mountains. However, getting here was a bit of a challenge – the 30-minute drive on a bumpy road from the national park gate was a real test. We were often the only ones to pass through each day, and the forest and scrub landscape made it tough to spot any wildlife. It's a shame, really, because the scenery is stunning.

Perched high up in the wild forest, this place offers an immersive experience like no other. The views are simply incredible, and the isolation only adds to the magic. The food, staff, and service are all top-notch, making it the perfect retreat for nature lovers.

I've been lucky enough to stay at Sable Mountain Lodge a few times, and it never fails to deliver. The food is excellent, the staff are great, and the location is superb. If I'm being picky, it would be nice to have some fans in the rooms to help with the heat and humidity – but that's a minor quibble.
