“Geheimtipp in idyllischer Lage!”
The Ranch is a genuine hidden gem, lovingly run by the owners, with plenty of free private parking. Everything—from the rooms and communal lounge to the restaurant and bar—feels authentic and meticulously detailed, and you sense the slowdown right after arrival. Although the menu said some dishes needed pre‑ordering, we were able to get them on the spot, likely because the place was almost empty at the time. The burger was simply outstanding. We didn’t try any of the on‑site activities since we were just passing through, but animal lovers would feel right at home—there were horses, rabbits and goats, and the goat pen also housed four Jack Russell Terriers that greeted us with a lot of barking (so anyone scared of dogs should be prepared). The rooms are small and have an old‑fashioned charm that fits the overall vibe. We liked it so much we plan to return just for the activities and nearby lakes. It’s perfect for anyone looking to escape daily stress. The only downside was that we had to make the beds ourselves and the linen looked worn and not entirely clean; also, the rooms are on the upper floor of a separate building reachable only by a fairly steep external staircase, which could be problematic for people with mobility issues or heavy luggage. We did catch a glimpse of a ground‑floor “Suite” that didn’t have this problem.
Really a beautiful place to stay, eat and drink. We feel nothing against it; there are some sounds, but nowadays we just put in a pair of earplugs, have respect for each other, and it is a lovely place to stay. We had read that there might be some noise, but no reason to stay away from this location; beautiful, historic accommodation
“Rolig och annorlunda vistelse, fantastisk mat”
We had a fun and unique stay that we thought was fantastic. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and tidy. The shared bathrooms in the corridor were well‑maintained and fresh. The surroundings were lovely with various animals, and the owners were friendly. The highlight, however, was the food, especially the burgers. We love burgers and have tried many that have won awards for best burger in Sweden; these were definitely on that level—tremendously good! If you haven’t tried them yet, our top recommendation is to do so. They should seriously enter a competition; it wouldn’t surprise us if they won best burger in Sweden. All in all, a fun and different stay with an amazing culinary experience. Everything was great!
“Hyggeligt, autentisk”
The staff were very friendly, the facilities were good and the place was fun for kids. The double bed was terrible—it creaked like an old year and sagged in the middle. Breakfast could easily be skipped.
“Rekommenderar!”
The place is really lovely and ideal for families with kids; the staff were friendly and the room was excellent, and there was basically nothing we disliked except that the restaurant happened to be closed.
