The interior and exterior upkeep, the pool, the orchard, and Francesca’s readiness as host were all excellent, and she was also very helpful to guests with dogs.

The pool is gorgeous and the owner plus everyone involved in the agritourism are lovely, doing everything they can to make you feel at home; you can pick fruit from the trees whenever you like, and the little garden with a hammock offers peace and a nice view. It’s just 10 minutes from Gubbio’s many restaurants and 5 minutes from a supermarket with a deli. Upon arrival they stocked us with olive oil, condiments, coffee, jam, milk… and there’s a washing machine with detergent. Breakfast only includes one pastry per person and some yogurt, so if you prefer a salty morning you’ll need to bring your own—not a big deal, just something to know. The bathroom is a bit cramped for three people, but you get used to it.

A beautiful property set in the Umbrian hills, the perfect spot to escape everyday hustle and unwind. The pool was especially appreciated, the apartment was well equipped, the common areas were adequate, only one bathroom was a drawback, the beds were very comfortable, and the outdoor space with loungers and a table on the grass was a real bonus that made the stay truly relaxing. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning; while not a flaw, keeping the rooms cool required keeping everything closed, which isn’t always possible, though sleeping with the windows open at night was fine. The breakfast could also use a little improvement.

I enjoyed the garden with all the fruit trees, the beautifully restored building, and the lovely private terrace with a hammock, plus the new swimming pool. The people were wonderful: Francesca’s whole family were discreet yet friendly, and Francesca herself was available whenever needed, offering great tips about the area and what to do. Everything was very relaxed, and I’d rather keep it a secret.
