The only thing that worked was the location. They market it as a "boutique hotel", but it isn’t a hotel at all and certainly not boutique. There’s no reception desk; entry is by key code, which was fine if the room had been decent. Instead, the room was tiny, oddly shaped, and I tripped over a small step that wasn’t mentioned anywhere. It had no drawers, no chairs, just a small hanging rail in a corner with a damp patch on the wall. The single opening window made the room stuffy and it smelled damp. The lack of facilities was appalling and overall very disappointing. Parking costs £20 a night, which is wildly inflated, and given how poor the room was, parking should have been included. There are far better places to stay in Lancaster at this price or lower. The owners need to stop calling it a hotel, especially not a boutique one.

Good location, but this isn’t a hotel. No one was seen or heard, and dealing with access codes was unpleasant, leaving me with a bad feeling.

The proximity to town attractions and the station was great, and the room was well lit and comfortable.

The location was great for getting into the city. We had a wonderful time in Lancaster. We will definitely be booking again. Our bed was a little squeaky but it didn’t ruin our time at the hotel
