How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The location is good, the place is clean, and the breakfast is decent. The hotel guide feels a bit pretentious, and the value for the guide didn't quite match the price. Aside from the breakfast, the staff and management showed little interest in us, even though they live there.

Summary of this review
This guest house was excellent, and they treated us incredibly well. From our early check‑in (we arrived at 6 am from Makassar and they let us use one of their rooms to rest while ours was being cleaned) to offering breakfast on the morning we arrived or letting us use another room on the day of our checkout to shower before our evening departure. Great homestay! The room was huge and the bed super comfortable. For those sensitive to nighttime noise, remember that the church plays music every day at 5 am for 20 minutes, but that’s a town‑wide thing they can’t fix. In this area it’s mostly the roosters and the church “only”; some other parts of Rantepao have karaoke and mosques.

The location is central and you can easily walk into town! We could book a scooter right there via Letica! Breakfast was fine—toast, omelette, jam, fruit, coffee, tea… For a layover it’s definitely suitable! The room size was very small; it barely fit a double bed. The bathroom/WC was okay, and the shower water pressure was fine. The rooster crowing went on 24 hours a day (day and night). During the day it didn’t matter because you’re on the go, but the whole night “screaming” was a bit much 🫣

A spacious balcony with a beautiful view, good breakfast, roomy rooms, and very friendly staff. It’s nice that it’s in a less touristy area; with the cheap tuk‑tuks you can get to the center easily. In the neighborhood, Kanaa Valley Café is recommended. The room and bathroom feel a bit dated, but the price‑quality ratio is still good!
