How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The bed was clean, the kitchen was clean, and the toilets were clean (don’t let guests turn them into carpets!). The only negatives I saw were a few small issues that could be addressed at the start of summer, like the faucets in the toilet that were wobbly, but it didn’t block anything.

The location is good. Bed number 8 is the worst. The other beds had walls or curtains on both sides, protecting privacy and safety, but bed 8 is a two‑tier bed with no barrier on one side, and below it is a high concrete step; if you accidentally fall, it would be disastrous. It’s not even a matter of injury. Depending on the bed, the stay can be extremely stressful, so it’s worth checking which bed you get. If you end up with number 8, it will be the worst days.

I was given the worst location. The bed on the upper floor was very uncomfortable, and to top it off there was a hole that made it easy to fall through. I couldn’t relax because I kept worrying about when I might tumble. The stair to go up had no safety features and I almost fell while climbing. In the bathroom the tap for the sink was poorly maintained and bent. Overall, everything was quite uncomfortable and disappointing, especially since it was my birthday and I expected a much nicer experience. Seeing the condition of the place left me utterly let down. The only thing that was actually fine was the kitchen atmosphere. The same points mentioned earlier.

The place was clean and offered a balcony where you could hang out with other hostel guests. The bathroom could use a bit of improvement in design.

The location is strategic for exploring Oia and the whole island. The bus to Thira leaves right under the house. Wandering around Oia after the tourist crowds have gone is priceless. Being able to use the nearby hotel’s pool before leaving was very relaxing.
