Located in the heart of Ceuta, Parador de Ceuta is a historic hotel housed in a modern building adjacent to the old Royal Walls. Panoramic sea views, charming rooms in vaulted buildings, and an exotic ambience await guests. The hotel features a palm-filled garden, outdoor pool, and elegant restaurant serving Andalusian and Moorish cuisine.

The cleaning was spotless, the hotel staff were very attentive and friendly at the reception, housekeeping, and dining, all very efficient and quick. Nothing to highlight; we liked the hotel overall.

The rooms were very pleasant, the bathrooms were refurbished, very comfortable, the parking is closed. The restaurant was very expensive and tasteless; the supposedly artisanal pizza had soft dough, tomato sauce poured straight from the box, and gooey cheese; the apple millefeuille was uncooked and mushy. Avoid it; better to get a charcuterie board at the bar. It was better before. The breakfast announced at 7 h 30 only opened at 8 h; it was annoying when you had to leave early.

The hotel is very pretty, though a bit old‑fashioned; we were given a renovated, spacious room. The pool is wonderful, which is why we stayed here. The breakfast buffet is fine, nothing spectacular, but I disliked a detail: once we were inside, they told us the service was ending and immediately blocked the serving area with panels, so we couldn't get anything else. I understand there’s a schedule, but they should respect people already in the dining area, at least give a few courtesy minutes to grab another coffee or anything else. Paying 14 € to breakfast while they take away your own table items doesn’t feel right. The reservation system for dining is also poorly organized; they didn’t explain it before we arrived, so when we got there they said there were no tables because of an external event. They should give priority to guests or at least explain it. The same happened with the pool hammocks: external guests occupied the whole area near the water, so we couldn’t find a spot for some family members with mobility issues. They should have reserved zones like they used to.
