“Gut für eine Nacht, wie ein Motel.”
Room furnishings, close to fish restaurants at the harbor. Location at the parking lot, somewhat remote at the back. Too expensive for what is offered, no staff nearby, check‑in about 1 kilometer at another hotel.
The parking is convenient and the building is clean. It is right in the harbor area. The hotel has no staff. Check‑in is done at the Harbor Lodge 3 minutes by car. The beds are very uncomfortable, too soft, like waterbeds. The bathroom is tiny, like a camper.
The location was good, right in the harbor where everything is, but there was no hair dryer.
“We will be back 😁”
The view was great, we arrived late at night after a wedding and check‑in was a breeze, even for a couple that enjoyed the wedding 🥳. Room 18 is recommended! It isn’t a dislike but something to know: this property is downstairs from a restaurant, so if sleeping without being disturbed is important maybe it’s not your spot. We are morning people so no problem for us except my husband recovering from a hangover. Also we had a sober friend drop us off; it is down a hill where it is not walkable to get up, no foot pathway, and up top is where to get food or supplies. Nothing is open but fish supply stores in the morning and the phone service in Fort Bragg is pretty poor, so Uber/Lyft aren’t great but local taxi service is recommended.
The staff were very accommodating, but the rooms were located under the restaurant, which I didn't expect, and the walls were thin enough to hear the other rooms.
