“Typisch Zwarte Woud hotel met gastronomisch restaurant”
The place is nicely located in a very quiet village in the Enzthal, not far from larger towns like Freudenstadt, Pforzheim, and Bad Wildbad. The reception was very friendly. The room and bathroom are spacious and newly renovated, with a large balcony overlooking forested hills. The restaurant is truly gourmet, fully redecorated with beautiful fabrics. Dinner was excellent, breakfast varied but somewhat limited in choice; the bread was tasty. In our opinion, the starter was outdated, as was the lift, and there is carpet everywhere, even in the rooms. We read in reviews that pets are allowed, which we found unhygienic; we were glad no pet guests were present. The terrace furniture is shabby, so we didn't sit or lounge there. Renovations are underway, so hopefully the outdated parts will be updated soon.
