Safe, a bit secluded, and a “one‑stop shopping” place with a solid restaurant and “Gucci” coffees on tap; the staff were very kind and responsive.

“Great base for exploring the area”

The rustic charm of this older building made it a perfect base for our hikes, though sound travels between rooms so bring a sound machine if you’re a light sleeper; the on‑site restaurant served home‑cooked meals, the staff were outstanding—lending me a deck of cards when I forgot mine, and my dog and son all enjoyed the stay; a great spot for families or pets.

“Great place for a night on the way”

They reached out before I arrived, letting me know the key would be left near the room so I didn’t have to meet anyone at the desk, and they offered a later checkout since no one else was booked; the bed was comfy, the shower was large with plenty of warm water, a small heater warmed the room, it was quiet and small but had everything needed for a good night, and the WiFi worked fine.

Easy access off the highway, quiet and peaceful grounds with a beautiful view, very helpful and kind staff, and an onsite post office that was useful.

i liked the conveyance of the restaurant being part of the lodge. the food in the restaurant was excellent and very affordable. the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasurable
