A beautiful, well‑kept resort right on the sea; the cabanas were tastefully decorated and the lounge‑dining area felt airy with ocean views, and although it was a bit remote, getting to Tangalle by tuk‑tuk, scooter or taxi was easy. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the staff were excellent, making our two‑day stay wonderful.

The resort is gorgeous and well‑kept, sitting right on its own beach, and the huts are nicely equipped and built from quality materials. After a few hours we decided to extend for another night because the place was dreamy, spotless, rarely visited and the sand stretched for kilometres. In August the sea is practically untouchable – at high tide the water is at 11 m and at low tide the surf turns into towering, meter‑high waves, which is typical for the southeast coast at this time, though watching it is spectacular. Tangalle is a bit far, but you can reach it by scooter or tuk‑tuk. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both breakfast and dinner were tasty and reasonably priced.

“Un angolo di paradiso tra laguna e mare”

The spot is amazing, right on the beach, and the staff at both Mangrove Chalets and the Cabana are fantastic. Breakfast and the kitchen are great, with fresh products, and the meals have a sea view. My room was spacious and clean, and the outside shower was beautiful with a huge bathroom. The whole place is well‑maintained and perfect for anyone wanting to unwind. The only downside is that when it’s windy, the wave noise can be heard, but it’s still far better than traffic horns. Across from Mangrove Chalets there’s a sheltered stretch of sea that lets you swim even when the water is rough.
