The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and the breakfast buffet looked appealing, but it wasn’t clear that some services were unavailable due to construction and the reception just shrugged it off; the cleaning crew would appear in the room after a short knock, and the bar’s music was too loud, yet the wellness area was lovely and the hotel was overall nice, though it’s priced higher than comparable hotels in the same range.

The spa area was fantastic with an outdoor pool; swimming in 32‑degree water while snow fell around was wonderful, and the crystal‑ball meditation was a great experience—big thanks to Herr Schwaiger! The only downside was the spaciousness of the spa and the hotel being a bit outside Oberstaufen.
