The location is pretty nice if you’re okay with being a bit away from a main spot. We stayed in one of the two double rooms, and there are also two dorms with a shared bathroom. The room felt fresh and friendly. Dinner was tasty. Unfortunately, the room lacked a wardrobe, coat rack, table, chair, and hooks; we had to spread everything on the floor. The bathroom is very small and there are no outlets in the room – phones and batteries can be charged in the common room during the day. Towels only came after we asked. Check‑out is at 9:00 am. Breakfast is modest and local: baguette, pain au chocolat, coffee or tea, orange juice, butter, and jam.

“Besondere Unterkunft mitten in der Natur”

This place isn’t a typical B&B; it’s a unique spot for nature lovers and those craving peace. There’s no regular power outlet – phones and lights run on solar – and no internet. At night you’re truly alone and can enjoy the natural silence. The rooms with shower and toilet are new and very clean. Sophie cooks superbly in the evenings, and the food was a real highlight for us. Breakfast, like many places on the island, especially in the mountains, is simple but includes fresh baguette. The trails around Cilaos are easily reachable, even without a car. Overall, an exceptional stay for anyone looking for nature, quiet, and an authentic experience. The nice room could have had a better mattress.

A magnificent, isolated spot with a breathtaking view. Sophie and François are lovely, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere around the table is friendly.

Thanks to Sophie for the warm welcome. Her cooking is exceptional. The rooms are clean and have a small, pleasant terrace. The property is well‑located for hiking starts and also for a relaxing moment. The setting is ideal for recharging. Thanks to François for the visiting tips around Cilaos and the surroundings. We’re sure we’ll return and recommend it without hesitation.
