The staff were super friendly and the place sits right in the middle of everything you’d want to see. I didn’t have any issues at all, just appreciated how easy it was to get around from there.

Waze sent me completely off‑track – I ended up at the owner’s house across the river and wasted about an hour trying to find the hotel. There was no phone number posted for the hostel either, so I was pretty frustrated until I finally got there. Once inside, though, it felt like a proper German‑style castle and the vibe was nice, so that made up for the navigation nightmare.

The room felt nice and cozy, which was a pleasant surprise after a cold day outside. The biggest hassle was the parking – it’s a good walk to the car, especially when it’s raining and freezing. Breakfast was okay, but I missed having something warm like scrambled eggs.

The place was spotless, the staff were genuinely warm, and breakfast was both hearty and tasty – you could really feel the family‑run atmosphere. On the downside, because it’s an old manor the walls don’t keep out the street noise or other guests’ chatter, which was a problem for me since I’m a light sleeper.

Right in the heart of town and just a block from the river, the hotel felt perfect for exploring. The room stayed warm, breakfast was decent, and Cecilia and Marianela were incredibly kind; I also loved the rustic décor. A big thanks to Juan Pablo for making everything smooth.
