The air conditioning worked great, the mattress was comfortable, the bed linens were clean, and the room itself was spotless. However, the kitchen was impossible to use – it was dirty, full of flies and cats, the fridge smelled bad and was stuffed with food, and the sink was always dirty.

The location looked right when I searched, but once I moved in it felt more like a backpackers spot than a hostel. The smell of cannabis, the lingering presence of certain people in the hallways, made me feel out of place, so I checked out early.
