The place was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is fairly isolated and might feel a bit lost for those looking for activity or many nearby services. On the other hand, that will certainly be a plus for people seeking quiet, peace, and a more secluded environment. Our stay left a mixed impression. We were mainly looking for a calm place to rest after more than 4 hours of driving. Unfortunately, the late‑night noise, especially from the owner’s grandchildren, somewhat disrupted our peace. I completely understand, having grandchildren myself, that kids stay kids, but in this context we would have appreciated a bit more quiet. Regarding food, we were also disappointed. The nearby restaurant is described on Google as a traditional spot with menus and on‑site dining. In reality, the room was empty and the owner only offered take‑away pizzas for regulars. He kindly served us anyway, which came from good intentions, but the outcome didn’t meet our expectations. We would have preferred a recommendation to another place that matched our needs better. Nothing dramatic, but the accumulation of these small inconveniences made our stay less enjoyable than expected. It’s a shame, because with a bit more attention to these points, the experience could have been much better.

It was our second time at Ferme de Rouffignac and it’s still a real pleasure. The room was spacious and very clean, good bedding, warm welcome, breakfast was very hearty (the homemade raspberry jam was great 😋), the setting is exceptional, calm and green 👍 We’ll come back again! Nothing to note.
