It’s a 10‑minute walk from Plaza del Mercado, the staff are very friendly and the contact is great; the room is simple but clean and has everything needed. The only downside is there’s no elevator, but that was clearly mentioned in the description.

The many stairs to the room—60 steps with a 10 % incline—were almost impossible for my 80‑year‑old wife with heart issues, and even for me at 73 it was no picnic; the hotel staff didn’t seem to consider this, so I wouldn’t recommend it. We were unhappy that everything mentioned from above wasn’t met.

The location is great, the view from the window shows old houses and roofs, and the smoke from the chimney in the building across was especially cozy. The breakfasts were very tasty, the staff pleasant, and I arrived after midnight without any check‑in problems. The room was warm even though the nights were already cool. The chairs in the room looked “worn out,” cracked and shedding, and the soap was there but there was no soap dish, so I had to put a piece of soap on the sink, it stuck, and I had to scrape it off each time. Otherwise everything was fine.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Es wurde immer alles sofort aufgefüllt. Sehr ordentlich und sauber. Es gab keine Brötchen, aber ein sehr leckeres Landbrot in hellem und dunklem Teig. Dazu noch 2 verschiedene Croissants. Müsli,Joghurt und frischer Obstsalat usw. Das Zimmer war geräumig und modern. Das Bad ok. Die Dusche sehr gut. Ordentlicher Wasserdruck. Alles sauber. Heizung schnell warm. Das Personal freundlich. Ruhige Umgebung. Das Treppenhaus sehr alt, mit schmalen Stufen und wackeligem Geländer. Leider kein Aufzug. Mit Gepäck , schon sehr anstrengend, da wir ein Zimmer in der 2. Etage hatten. Alle Türen haben laut gequitscht. Frühstück und Rezeption im Hotel Jacobs gegenüber. Die Preise in der Bar sehr hoch
