The place is cheap, but it's very deep inside and hard to find.
It was hard to find, hidden behind other buildings at the back. There was no sign on the street.
The owners were very accommodating. This is bare‑bones accommodation that works for a short stay, close to two beach restaurants. If a couple decides to live on the communal balcony—like one couple did when I was there—you can hear every word, but you probably won't get these inconsiderate individuals.
I arrived and saw that the place was totally different from the pictures; it was a very, very neglected spot with greenery and everything on the walls crumbling. The owner told me to cancel, but I insisted on staying. He probably does this to everyone. It's a successful method, but it is forbidden, forbidden, forbidden, forbidden. This is a sting; you have to be careful of this place. I really hope Booking doesn't charge me for this place. It's very different from the pictures I saw and it's forbidden, forbidden, forbidden to go to this place.
The room was clean with everything needed, including air conditioning and hot water. From the balcony we could see the sea. It was 3 minutes from King Beach and a 20‑minute walk (5 minutes by tuk‑tuk) to Hiriketya beach for surfing. The hotel could do laundry for us, and just next door we found an agency for a whale tour on a large, more respectful boat that wasn't too expensive. The owner even offered to take us to our next destination at the end of our stay.
