The complimentary breakfast was appreciated in a pleasant location. The only drawback was the lengthy wait for pizza or burger, but the very attentive hosts offered a tasty alternative light meal.

Excellent place to stay for the night. The staff were super friendly and we really appreciated the extra effort they made to accommodate my baby daughter. The pizzas served on site are amazing.

Staff was extremely welcoming and gave clear instructions at check in. It's one of the most dog friendly places I've ever stayed and it is not too far from the A1 for an overnight stopover on a long drive. The pizza from the Wild Cat was very nice and next to the pub. The bed was comfortable and clean and so was the bathroom although it was small- some larger people may find it tricky to pass between the door and the sink in room 2. Continental breakfast is delivered to your doorstep. This is not the classic peaceful countrieside pub. It was extremely lively with loud music until 10- 11pm and very loud people going on until we'll past midnight. Insulation is what an old building allows for but the pub clientele did not seem to have an awareness of noise curfew. Hammering started above my room around 6.45am. I normally sleep through noise but this was a bit too much. The continental breakfast is very basic. In hindsight, I would've not bothered with it and would've left earlier to have a coffee elsewhere. There is no one to check out in the morning if you need anything or have a bar/ food bill to settle

The location was great, but I was uneasy about the morning exit procedures; having to unlock two doors felt risky in a fire scenario. The doors should latch for exit and lock for entry.
