There wasn’t much to praise, but the room had a strong unpleasant smell, black mould growing around the fridge on the carpet, and the carpet in traffic areas was stained black as if it had never been cleaned; I ended up leaving for another hotel.

The staff were courteous, even the cleaning crew greeted us well, which left a good impression, and the 24‑hour laundry facilities were handy. However, on one occasion the room wasn’t properly cleaned – the bed was made and towels changed, but it seemed the vacuum wasn’t run, and after two weeks there was never a single glass or cup replacement, which was disappointing.
