“Nicht zufriedenstellend ☹️”
The location by Starnberger See is lovely, but the bathroom setup and overall room furnishings leave much to be desired.

Gasthaus Fischerrosl, nestled in Münsing‑St. Heinrich beside Lake Starnberg, blends rustic charm with modern convenience. Rooms feature original timber beams, flat‑screen TVs, and airy décor. The on‑site restaurant specializes in fresh fish dishes, complemented by a daily buffet breakfast. Free Wi‑Fi, ample public parking, and proximity to the A95 motorway make a 40‑minute drive to Munich’s center effortless.

We left after just one night; this place isn’t worth recommending. The room was a cramped 8 m² space with mattresses that look like they’re from the last century.

The breakfast is a highlight, yet the noise from the traffic at the T-junction is unbearable, the room’s equipment and the overall atmosphere feel cheap because of one lady, and the beer tastes stale and overpriced at €4.40.

Everything was straightforward and relaxed, with friendly staff eager to help, and the local tavern offered tasty, affordable food; the free parking was great and the spot was close to the lake. The old windows let in a lot of noise from traffic early in the morning, the shutters can’t be closed, curtains only dim the light moderately, the bathroom curtain won’t fully close, and the shower tap can’t be locked properly so the shower head doesn’t stay up.

The historic building with its small guest rooms is charming, and the main house’s restaurant is highly recommended—reserve a table in advance. The inn sits at a busy intersection with heavy through‑traffic.
