“Great welcome and staff, everything else poor.”
We were greeted warmly at the front desk. The dining room was so loud that nothing could soften the noise, which was quite unpleasant and caused us to leave quickly after a brief breakfast. The bathroom smelled of mildew, and when the doors slammed the whole room shook—unbelievable. This was not what you expect at 7 am on a weekend morning. The bathroom light could not be turned off; it was always on a PIR, so entering in the middle of the night woke everyone with the brightest lights ever, making it hard to stay half asleep. The bedroom was stylish, but the bathroom felt like an 1980s care home. The staff were exceedingly pleasant and friendly, which we really appreciated.
