I loved the coffee pod machine and the availability of ironing facilities in the room. Breakfast was served much later on Saturday, I had to leave for the airport without eating and wasn’t informed to request a breakfast pack on the go the day before. Room service is only available after breakfast.

The staff were amazing, friendly and always smiling, eager to help. The location was great – we felt safe and it was close to restaurants and shops. The day after we arrived, they cut the Wi‑Fi on our floor, forcing us to end our internet packages earlier than expected; they offered to move us to a different room but we had to give up the balcony.

Walking to restaurants and matcha spots was a breeze. We dined at Wildsprout, Luma and a fantastic Italian place, and also strolled along the waterfront promenade. I liked everything.

We were relocated to the sister property, Protea Hotel Fire and Ice, because of maintenance at the original hotel, and the replacement room turned out to be even better. Thanks for a warm staycation.

It is extremely disrespectful. At 9:30 this morning, construction work started in the room above ours. We complained for an hour, but nothing was done. Absolutely awful.
