The breakfast spread was generous and the bed was comfortable, and the shower was lovely, so the value for money was solid. However, there was no kettle, coffee, tea or mini‑fridge, which we really needed, especially since my husband is diabetic and needed a fridge. There was also no shampoo. When we arrived on Monday, dinner wasn’t possible because the kitchen was closed, which was a real let‑down given the good reviews. The reception felt a bit odd at first, but after five minutes the owner brought us the key to our room.
