Cleaning took place despite us staying only two nights, though that wasn't necessarily expected for such a short time. We booked and paid for breakfast, but there was a communication problem between the hotel and the restaurant, and on Sunday we found the doors locked and received no breakfast. We got our money back without trouble, but it was annoying to be in a foreign city with kids on a Sunday.
I booked without breakfast because I know Emsdetten well and could walk to two supermarkets—one about five minutes away and the other roughly eight to ten minutes. The town centre was also close, but the hotel sits right on a heavily trafficked through‑street, which I was aware of beforehand. With the windows shut there wasn’t much noise, and since I had a suite I could close the bedroom windows at night while leaving the other room’s windows open, making the street sound tolerable—just like in Vienna.
“Jederzeit”
Everything was perfect.
“War ok!”
The size, cleanliness, and equipment were good. The room’s location was on a road heavily trafficked by trucks, and the mattress was far too soft for me.
