“Disappointing and would not stay again. If it was in the C4 TV Four in a Bed it would not win”

The location was convenient and the staff were helpful, but the leisure facilities need investment; accessing the pool was tough with just a short ladder, and my partner, who was recovering from a knee replacement in June, wouldn't have managed to exit the pool alone. The changing rooms and showers required new fixtures and flooring, the pool water wasn't very clean, and the bathroom fan in our room was delayed, noisy, and dirty— I had to stop it with a teaspoon.

“A perfectly decent 3 star hotel”

The hotel is a solid 3‑star place with friendly staff and a breakfast that’s freshly cooked—no lukewarm buffet here—and it’s all pretty decent. The bed was comfortable, rooms and bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water, making it fine for a single night of work; the town is pretty and full of good restaurants and cafés. On the downside, the hotel looks a bit tired; carpets in both corridors and rooms are worn and frayed, and the facilities feel dated with scuffed paint and other cosmetic issues that don’t matter if you’re just staying a night or two for a warm, clean place to sleep.

“Disappointed”

The hotel is in a convenient walking area, but the threadbare carpet and bed divan are very tired. There was no staff at reception, no amenities because a wedding was happening, and the wedding noise was a problem.
