The breakfast was very good, but we had requested two separate beds; the hotel had noted our request, yet upon arrival at 17:30 they told us, “you’re the last arrival, so it’s too late, we’ve given the room to someone else!” The room was small and there was no place to hang towels in the bathroom.

“Maar aangenaam verblijf”

The bed was good and the breakfast excellent, but at Albert Plage there was no storage for toilet supplies and the air conditioning would have been more comfortable.

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and a very good dinner at Hotel Nelson, and the restaurant staff were consistently friendly and attentive, many of them having worked there for years. The bathroom at Hotel AlbertPlage was nice, though it lacked hooks for towels – only two on the door, which we used for our cosmetics, and more hooks could be added near the toilet. On the first day the shower went wrong when the shower knob fell off, leaving us without water while we were covered in soap; after three complaints it was fixed the same day. The beds were extremely narrow, with mattresses on a simple base that slid around and even overhung the frame, and the TV didn’t work – we only noticed on day 3 after 15 minutes of viewing when every channel became encrypted; we were told it would be repaired, but it was our last night so we never saw if it was fixed.

“Très bien situé, très propre et petit déjeuner très complet.”

The hotel is in a great spot. The breakfast is superb and very complete. We stayed in the Albert Plage part of Hotel Nelson, where the reception and restaurant are located, and our room wasn’t very large.
