The location was great for walking trips, but we were rebooked to the Relais Barberini a few hours before arrival. There was no reception, the place wasn’t cleaned, the coffee machine was broken, the shower dripped, the wallpaper peeled off the walls, and a military unit stood outside the entrance—an absolute tourist trap!

The location and air conditioning were fine, yet the cleanliness was non‑existent. The old bathroom had crumbling walls, was dirty and covered in black mold. The room cleaning only involved making the bed and leaving towels that smelled strongly of vinegar.

“Kon beter”

The location was good, but the tiny bathroom had terrible lighting. It was on the 5th floor, and at check‑out there was no power so the lift didn’t work, forcing us to carry heavy luggage down—though it’s fine without a suitcase.

“Would not recommend. No warm water, outdated and dirty.”

The only thing I liked was that there was air‑con. The photos were outdated. The apartment needs a refresh; the wallpaper was peeling and the shower was falling apart. No proper bed linen—just a flat sheet, no duvet—and there was no hot water. The host replied to my hot‑water complaint, but it wasn’t fixed during my stay. I would not recommend this place.

“Don’t book. They ignore when you contact about broken things.”

DO NOT BOOK. The hairdryer was broken, the shower trickled, the air‑con didn’t get cold enough, the fridge was in a wardrobe that got dangerously hot, and plugs and switches didn’t work. We tried contacting the provided number on the first day of our 5‑day trip and were ignored. At check‑out we were told the complaint would be handled, but they have ignored us. Awful service.
