The guesthouse LA CABANE isn’t actually a cabin; it’s a lovely property with a magnificent manor house, a nice park, and well‑arranged outbuildings. The breakfast room is beautiful, you feel comfortable there. Breakfast is served in fine dishes, and the products are of very good quality. Nothing was missing. Our host’s welcome was perfect, she even gave us a great restaurant address in Blaye. The rooms are beautiful, perfectly clean, and well decorated. The bedding is very good. The proximity to the cycling trail of the Tour de Gironde was a plus, especially since Blaye is only 2.5 km away. In short, you get it – it’s a gem. So don’t hesitate to visit; I’m sure you’ll have a very good time.

“Would have been a pleasant stay without the tyre drama and the heat.”

Breakfast was amazing – the selection was all good, but far more than we could manage. Madame was most helpful in communicating with a pickup truck driver sent to replace tyres on our car. The air‑con in the bedroom would have made the stay much more comfortable – we accept that it was the back‑end of a heatwave with much higher temperatures than usual.

The host greeted us warmly at her small country estate; the car was safely parked on the fenced grounds, everything was very clean, the room was spacious, and the property was wonderful; we were served a lovingly prepared breakfast, and it’s a shame we only stayed one night.
