“Geweldige week gehad. Super comfortabele kamers.”
The old farmhouse has been nicely renovated, but the arrival was odd and a bit awkward. You arrive at a warm, unprotected, uncozy plot with real farmer concrete slabs that still need some work. Umbrellas made the whole place cozy. The private pool is 250 m away, reached by an unpaved path up the hill. It's fine for most people, but if you're 80, it's a real climb. The village is dull, but the nearby wine road is gorgeous and the nature reserve too. Watch out on the road with your racing bike so you don't end up on gravel or worse. There are plenty of MTB options, and if you learn the road, racing cyclists can enjoy it too. The climbs max out at 1.5–2 km. Had a great week! Asti is 20 min drive, a nice town. Alba (35 min) is even better. The local winemakers produce superb wines. We'll return! The outdoor space was lacking.
