“Wish we could have stayed longer.”
We were met by a lovely host who showed us to our lodge. It was spotlessly clean and very spacious, larger than we expected, and in a perfect location for our needs. We could hear people above us walking around, but since we weren’t in the accommodation much it didn’t bother us.
“would not stay there agin and would not recommend it”
Not much to say positively. The noise from other rooms woke me up three times during the night with shouting, screaming, and fighting, and the police had to be called.
“Its not worth the money...”
Annie at reception was lovely, friendly, and helpful. Our room smelled like prawn shells, so Annie moved us to the room next to the one we had originally booked; it had slightly nicer décor but still had a bad smell, probably from harsh cleaning products. Later at night, other guests stayed in the room above ours and the clomping on the timber floors kept us awake. The hotel is a little way out of the town centre, and the worst part was the value for money—$260 for one night in a motel‑type room that smelled bad with a very firm, uncomfortable bed.
“Staff excellent and great location. We would definitely stay here again”
The location and facilities are good. There is noise from above us, with chairs scraping and heavy footsteps.
The location is good and the staff were very friendly. A dog next to us was a large, very aggressive Alsatian that nearly jumped the porch fence to attack us; we were scared every time we left our room. The hotel should limit dog bookings to small breeds.
