Finding the place was easy, and the overall setting is pretty with a river behind it, making it a convenient base for visiting many spots. Despite our concerns about the accommodation, the price is fair. I don’t understand why it gets such a high rating; it’s just okay, far from exceptional, and a more realistic score would be between 7 and 8. On arrival, all windows were open as the check‑out instructions require, probably because the room smelled a bit stale. It looks clean on the surface, but the bed had a funky smell. We had to strip it and the mattress was quite stained and unpleasant. We found extra sheets to add a layer of protection for our three nights. The hotel only does the minimum bed‑sheet changes, leaving the existing mattress and pillow protectors, so you end up sharing sweat with the previous occupants. The caravan park itself is standard, and the pitch isn’t exceptional. It sits in the middle of the park with neighbors on either side (there’s a small driveway between it and the right‑hand neighbor) and neighbors in front. To have any privacy, the curtains need to be drawn all day. The neighbor to the left has a decking area 2‑3 m from the bedroom windows, which was noisy in our opinion, with kids riding bikes around until 10 pm. The living space is a good size and clean. The second bedroom is so small you could almost sleep with the other person in there, as there’s barely a foot of space between the two singles, which aren’t even full‑size single beds. The room isn’t suitable for two people to share, and there’s no place for luggage. There is a family shower room with a WC that is clean, but they only provided half a roll of toilet paper. There’s another en‑suite toilet for the master, also clean. There is no welcome pack with useful information, so you’re left guessing about things like how to turn on the hot water.

The dining area and kitchen of the mobile home were spectacular, and the surroundings were great. The response to incidents was very good and quick. We only missed soap and one more towel. The room is very small.

We had doubts about staying in a mobile home, but we were pleasantly surprised. The house is well‑maintained, clean, and fully equipped. The setting inside the campsite is charming and very fun for kids. The apartment’s lounge, the Loire, was truly large, spacious, and welcoming, just as in the photos. The sleeping area is a bit cramped, so you have to close the doors of other rooms to enter one. I suggest installing pocket or sliding doors to reduce the inconvenience.
