We spent a very pleasant night at Matthew’s; the bedding is very comfortable and the room is nicely decorated. It’s a charming house in the heart of Chaillac. The dinner was delicious, and Matthew is an excellent chef. A great place to remember.

We drove from Wimereux in the north and were greeted by our smiling, welcoming host Mathew, who offered to hold our overnight luggage while we parked. The evening walk around the village led to a fantastic three‑course meal cooked by our host. Mathew is very well travelled, the conversation flowed, and it was an excellent evening. No improvements needed; everything was excellent.
