The place was close to Balıklıgöl and the market, located in an authentic area, clean, with a welcoming host and pleasant conversation, ready to help with any issue, comfortable beds and pillows, the option to leave luggage after checkout, a fridge, water in the room and shower—no problems. The simit at breakfast was very tasty, and the host Mahmut suggested a good spot for dinner; it was a very pleasant place. There was a small issue with toilet paper that was resolved the next day. Breakfast was a bit tight, not very abundant, but traditional and we were satisfied. The room is small (see price!), but the fantastic location compensates for it.

The family mansion hotel immerses you in the atmosphere of traditional Şanlıurfa, with a very convenient location—3 minutes to the Kapalı Çarşı market and Balıklıgöl park. The owners are friendly and always happy to help and offer tea. Breakfast is served on the terrace, the bed is comfortable, but there are aspects that need improvement for a more comfortable stay. If you’re looking for a hotel with the vibe of traditional Urfa, the price‑quality ratio is great. The rooms are very small—this is mentioned in the description, but the room with the large bed is very cramped, with no space for a suitcase; the bed occupies the entire room. The bathroom lacks a shower cabin and is very small—you wash just over the toilet. Even for larger people, sitting on the toilet is uncomfortable because it’s too tight. I would also like newer bedding. There is no sound insulation at all—sounds from the neighboring night club with traditional Turkish evenings seep into the room. The room is right under the terrace, and in the morning for breakfast the whole hotel practically passes through your room, with people walking “over your head.”

The city of Şanlıurfa feels spiritual, and everything around it has a mystical vibe. The most amazing part of our stay at this konak was meeting Mister Mahmut; his company, presence, and genuine personality let us feel the soul of magnificent Urfa. Mahsuz selam for Mister Mahmut. Elhamdulillah.

I was thoroughly disappointed with my stay at this hotel, which I found to be subpar and not up to my expectations. I was shocked by the condition of the hotel and couldn't understand how it had earned a good rating. Overall, my experience was underwhelming and I wouldn't recommend it to others. The hotel's state was truly disheartening.
